This privacy policy applies only to the Gentlebloom iPhone app. For our website, see the website privacy policy.
The short version. Gentlebloom has no ads, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn't connect to the internet. Your name, check-ins, intentions, plant and garden are stored only on your iPhone, and Snowbelt Labs never receives them. Delete your account in the app, or delete the app, and everything is gone.
Who we are
Gentlebloom is made by Snowbelt Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the app stores, where it's stored, how long it's kept and how you can delete it. Questions? Email privacy@snowbeltlabs.com.
What we collect
Nothing. Snowbelt Labs doesn't collect, receive or store any personal information from Gentlebloom. The app has no servers of ours, no analytics and no third-party services, and it never sends anything you write to us. On the App Store, its privacy label is Data Not Collected.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
To work, Gentlebloom saves the following in its own storage on your iPhone. None of it leaves your device, except in backups you control (see below).

What we don't collect
- No sign-in with us, email addresses, passwords or phone numbers. The "account" in Gentlebloom is simply the data stored on your iPhone.
- No advertising identifiers, ads, analytics, crash reporting, tracking or third-party SDKs. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No location, contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data.
- No payment information. Gentlebloom is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
What you write
Check-ins can be personal, and some focus areas (like Faith) may reflect beliefs. That's exactly why they stay on your device. We can't read them, we don't analyze them, and they're never used for advertising or shared with anyone.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, Gentlebloom schedules local notifications on your iPhone: a morning quote and an evening check-in at the times you choose. The morning reminder can include your first name. We don't run a push notification server, and nothing about your reminders is sent to us. Turn them off in Settings → Notifications in the app, or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Gentlebloom. The app works without them.
Where data is stored
- Everything listed above is stored only on your iPhone. We have no servers or databases holding your information.
- If you use iCloud Backup or back up to a computer, your iPhone's backup includes Gentlebloom's data. Those backups are run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't access them.
Who we share data with
No one. Because we don't receive your data, we have nothing to share, sell or rent, and we don't use it for advertising or to build profiles. Apple distributes the app through the App Store under its own privacy policy.
How long data is kept and how to delete it
- Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it.
- Delete your account in the app: open Settings (the gear on the Today screen), tap Delete account, then Delete everything. This permanently erases your name, check-ins, intentions, plant, garden and settings, and cancels all scheduled reminders. The app returns to the welcome screen. It can't be undone.
- Delete the app: deleting Gentlebloom from your iPhone also removes everything it stored.
Your rights and choices
You can see, change and delete everything Gentlebloom stores directly in the app. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, Canada or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data. Since we don't hold any of your data, there's nothing for us to access or delete on our side, but if you have a question, email privacy@snowbeltlabs.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
Gentlebloom is not directed to children under 13, and it doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Gentlebloom handles data, we'll update this page and its date before the change takes effect, and we'll ask for your permission before collecting anything new.
