The short version. Barrelhead doesn't collect any data. There are no accounts, no servers, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone, and we never receive it. Delete the app, or tap Delete my data on the You tab, and it's gone.
Who we are
Barrelhead is made by Snowbelt Labs ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Barrelhead app stores, where, who can see it, how long it's kept, and how you can delete it. Questions? Email privacy@snowbeltlabs.com.
What we collect
Nothing. Snowbelt Labs doesn't collect, receive or store any personal information from Barrelhead. The app has no sign-in and doesn't send your information to us or to anyone else. On the App Store, its privacy label is Data Not Collected.
What the app keeps on your iPhone
To work, Barrelhead saves what you enter in its own local storage on your iPhone. It never leaves your device through Barrelhead.

Prices and values in Barrelhead are the numbers you type in. The app doesn't look up prices or connect to any market or retailer.
What we don't collect
- No accounts, email addresses or passwords.
- No advertising identifiers, ads, analytics tools, tracking or third-party SDKs that collect data. We don't track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- No location, contacts, camera, photos, microphone or audio recording.
- No payment information. Barrelhead is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions, and it doesn't sell alcohol.
Permissions
Barrelhead doesn't ask for any permissions. It doesn't use the camera, photos, location, contacts, microphone or notifications.
Where data is stored
- Everything listed above is stored only on your iPhone, in Barrelhead's local storage. We have no servers or databases holding your information.
- If you have iCloud Backup or computer backups turned on, your iPhone's backup includes Barrelhead's data. Those backups are run by Apple under Apple's privacy policy, not by us, and we can't access them.
Who we share data with
No one. Because we don't receive your data, we have nothing to share, sell or rent, and we don't use it for advertising or to build profiles about you. Apple distributes the app through the App Store under its own privacy policy.
How long data is kept and how to delete it
- Your data stays on your iPhone until you delete it.
- Delete it in the app: open the You tab and tap Delete my data, then confirm twice. This permanently removes your name, every bottle and review in your cellar, your hunt list and your ledger history from your iPhone.
- Remove a single bottle: open the bottle and tap Remove from cellar.
- Delete the app: deleting Barrelhead from your iPhone also deletes all of its data.
- Copies in an existing iCloud or computer backup are managed by you through Apple and are replaced as new backups are made.
Your rights and choices
You can view and change everything Barrelhead stores right in the app, and delete it at any time. Depending on where you live (for example the EU, UK, Canada or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or port your data. Since we don't hold any of your data, there is nothing for us to access or delete on our side, but if you have a question, email privacy@snowbeltlabs.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Age
Barrelhead is about bourbon and is meant only for adults of legal drinking age where they live (21 or older in the United States). It is not directed to children and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Barrelhead handles data, we'll update this page and its date before the change takes effect. We'll ask for your permission before collecting anything new.
